Summer Holidays

Summer is finally coming and we can feel it in the atmosphere because we already have 30 degrees and it will be even more when summer starts. 

In my university the year will be ending on  January 20th so i'm not happy that we are going to loose 3 weeks of summer holidays but anyways it's something. 

My holidays will start the same day that we finish classes because I will travel back to my hometown Antofagasta  just to chill with my family and enjoy the beach with my friends.

In the north of Chile, near to my city, there is a big beach called "Hornitos" (the name means oven so you can imagine how hot it can be) and we will go there for about a week with my family and dogs to relax and spend the hot days at these beautiful place.

After that at the middle of February i'm planning with my friends to go to "La  Serena" for about one week  because one of them has an apartment there so we have a place to sleep. there are a lot of things we can do there, like going to the sea, playing with some water games like canoes, banana boat, etc. there is also a lot of places to go at night like discos and pubs. Anyways, any place with friends is fun. 

If I get the chance, I would also like to work somewhere as a waitress for about 2 weeks so I can earn some money for the trip with my friends. 

I have waited for this summer as much as any other because these year has been really tough and I really need a break so i'm looking forward to it!

Addiction: From coffee and tea to drugs of abuse

A drug is any substance other than food when inhaled, injected, smoked, consumed or absorbed causes an effect on your body such as euphoria, relaxing, etc.

Nowadays on every party or any social event we always see people drinking alcohol or smoking marihuana, for me is something so common and I have tried both of them.

With alcohol everything seems to be fun even if the party is not, and I feel like I have so much self-confidence that I can do everything I want, but anyways there are also bad experiences that I would not like to explain.
When I tried marihuana I felt like flying and so relaxing that everything I wanted to do was just sleep, and thats why I don´t like it.
When you see people smoking weed they just look like they are in another planet and looking nowhere but fortunately I don´t know anyone who has any drug addiction.

When people consume so many drugs can get a drug addiction and this can get several consequences for our body such as high blood pressure, respiratory depression, coma, hepatitis, heart failure,  premature delivery, lung damage, etc.
But some people uses some kind of drugs because of its benefits, for example marihuana can help people with diabetes, Alzheimer, epilepsy and also depression or anxiety.

The abuse of drugs can cause big problems not only for our body but for our future and style of life. Relationships can be affected and also your career because the drug becomes more important than those things.

Post Graduate Studies

Nowadays is so important to have post graduate studies so it can help you to learn more about your career  and also your curriculum to get good jobs in good companies.
I'm studying food engineering in the University of Chile and everyday I like it more and more so every time i'm getting more interested about learning new things and asking to me what can I do in the future to be a  good professional.


After I graduate from university I would like to go somewhere like United States or somewhere in Europe like Spain, Holland, Germany, etc to get a doctor's degree in some scientific area for a semester or a year so I can also get the chance to learn from that country and get to know new places.
It would be perfect if it is a part-time course so I can work during the year, maybe a practice about my career  or just a normal work.

I'm not sure about what specific subjects I want to learn during this studies because is hard to say it when you just started university but it would be perfect to have some laboratories, biochemistry, microbiology, etc.

Maybe i change my mind, maybe not, I still have 5 years to decided so I open my mind to new possibilities and ideas.  

Your future Job

Thinking about my future Job is not that easy because I just started my studies this year and I don't have everything clear about my future but I can think about an ideal job.

In 6 year I would probably be done with university so I would start looking for a Job. In my career we can work in different areas like Administration, Innovation, Quality, etc.

For me the most interesting areas are Innovation and Administration so my ideal job is to work in a big company of food so I can help  creating new products related to the field of the career because in the world the industry of food is growing every year and new products are coming out so I would like to create one who can help the health of everyone not only national but international too so I can travel representing this company in other countries because I love to travel and it can help me to get new ideas as well. Working here should be perfect to start so I can get enough money to have a normal life. But maybe I would not like to stay here forever so I would also like to create my own company with innovative products who can have all nutrients to keep a healthy life because today's problem is that people is not eating the way they should and so many unhealthy products are available for everyone that we as food engineers have to stop these and give good solutions.
